LANDR
The all-in-one platform for music producers
β This is my go-to platform for everything related to music production. β Imagine having access to samples, plugins, AI mastering, music distribution, online courses, and collaboration tools βall for less than $0.50 a day. β Thatβs what LANDR Studio offers:
1,800 sample credits per year
35+ plugins (27 with perpetual licenses)
Unlimited AI mastering (Online or In-DAW)
Unlimited music releases to over 150 platforms
Access to 150+ online courses on everything music
Collaboration tools β LANDR basically has everything you need to create and release your music.
A "link in bio" is a clickable URL that appears in your Instagram/TikTok profile description, which provides essential information about your business and your products, combining a few different links.
To me, it is mandatory to direct people where I want them to go!
The one I've been using lately is called Zaap and has been my favourite for a few reasons:
π The "folder" structure is less intimidated for the visitor if you have many different links β
π₯ It automatically embed your latest posts/videos β
π Email list builder included β
π Book coaching calls with the calendar integration β
π° Sell digital products directly from your link in bio
Here is a snippet of how it looks:
π Should we quit Instagram?
If you've read my past newsletters/content, you probably are aware that I'm getting more and more tempted to quit Instagram to fully focus on YouTube.
Quality Over Quantityβ β With YouTube, you can focus more on quality than quantity as the videos have a much longer shelf life than Instagram. As a creator, this is more rewarding and enjoyable. β
Evergreen Contentβ β Even if your video doesn't start well, it can always pick up on YouTube. Sometimes, some of my videos start to gain traction 6 months to 1 year after being uploaded. This is GREAT for passive traffic!!! β
Follower Loyaltyβ β By the nature of the videos being long-form, you can create better relationships with your audience on YouTube. They can get to know you better and develop more trust and loyalty with you than on short-form platforms like Instagram. β
YouTube Actually Pays Youβ β Well, this one is pretty straight forward. Even though AdSense doesn't pay much (I get about $300 every month from it), it still helps and makes you feel valued from the platform.
So if you were waiting for a sign to start your YouTube Channel, this is it and I hope it helps you see the benefits of this platform π
βοΈ Time management lessons from a $100M CEO
Time management is something that every creative person struggles with - me included.
I found this video from CEO Dan Martell to be filled with GEMS π applicable to us music producers including:
πΆ Big rocks first (aka your music time) π Batching similar tasks together (aka making content, making music, emailing potential leads etc...) π Looking for leverage (aka outsourcing video editing and other tasks you don't need to do)
I discovered this song last week through an Instagram Reels (this is your hint to post your music on short-form platform btw π) but it got my attention for one main reason.
First of all, the songwriting is great and I love the whole vibe and beat BUT I am 99% sure I heard and saved this main guitar loop on Splice!!!
This song has almost 3 million streams on Spotify so... stop caring about using "overused" samples π
P.S. Maybe he didn't use that sample from Splice, but the point remains the same!!
